Answers to frequently asked questions

Brief answers to questions:

The delivery time of TSC type instruments is up to 30 calendar days.

TSC-3M-12, TSC-5M-32 or TSC-7М-16 instrument as standard is recommended for NCMD of underground pipelines:

  • with an additional Type 11-6W scanning device during the inspection of pipelines in urban conditions;
  • with an additional Type 11-6WB scanning device during the inspection of pipelines in field conditions;
  • with an additional Type 11-12W scanning device during the inspection of pipelines with the diameter of up to 500 m in urban conditions.

In this case the TSC-3M-12, TSC-2M-8 or TSC-7М-16 instrument with a scanning g device Type 1-8M can be used to inspect welded joints as well as pipelines with small diameter from 40 to 108 mm, and it is recommended to purchase additionally:

  • Type 2M scanning device for the inspection of pipes with the diameter of 20 to 40 mm, fillet welded joints and short welded joints;
  • Type 6-12M scanning device for the inspection of pipeline and vessel surfaces with the coverage width up to 400 mm;
  • eddy-current flaw detector EMIC-1M to detect cracks on the equipment surface in stress concentration zones without surface preparation directly on scale and paint coating.

In this case the TSC instrument of any type as standard can be used, and it is recommended to purchase additionally:

  • Type 2M scanning device for the inspection of fillet welded joints and short welded joints;
  • Type 4M sensor for the inspection of local and remote/hard-to-reach areas;
  • eddy-current flaw detector EMIC-1M to detect cracks on the equipment surface in stress concentration zones without surface preparation directly on scale and paint coating.

In this case it is recommended to use the TSC-3M-12, TSC-4M-16 or TSC-5M-32 in combination with the Type 6-8 scanning device with a set of arcs to diameters of 86, 92, 103 and 114 mm for the inspection of pump and fishneck housings, and it is recommended to purchase additionally:

  • Type 2M scanning device for the inspection of grooves on fishnecks and base plates, gas separator components, as well as other irregular surfaces;
  • Type 15-16 scanning device for the inspection of ESP shafts, EP and rods, supplied as a set with inserts to the shaft diameter (standard diameters are 17, 20, 22, 25 mm);
  • eddy-current flaw detector EMIC-1M to detect cracks on the equipment surface in stress concentration zones without surface preparation directly on scale and paint coating.

The following devices are used for the inspection of long surfaces:

  • Type 6-16M scanning device (a 16-channel SD with eight two-component sensors);
  • Type 17-16M scanning device (a 16- channel SD with eight two-component sensors);
  • Type 17-16 scanning device (a 16- channel SD with sixteen single-component sensors).
